Finding the Path

Within You

Empowering and effective care for complex trauma survivors at the intersection of therapy, neuroscience, and advocacy.

Trauma Recovery

One of the most damaging aspects of trauma can be the loss of trust in ourselves and the world around us that comes along with these challenging experiences. In my mind, much of the work of healing from trauma is learning how to trust ourselves again and believe that we can handle whatever the world puts in our path. I use neuro-informed interventions along with psycho-education to help give back that sense of stability and empower you to understand the resiliency of your survival. I believe that healing from trauma is not a complex process and that you have decision making power about the path that is right for you. I am experienced in a variety of approaches to addressing trauma and can assist you in understanding your options and customizing a treatment plan that feels right to you.

About Beth

I am a licensed professional counselor and trauma therapist who has worked with adults, children, adolescents, and families for over 25 years. As a first-hand survivor of the troubled teen industry, I have devoted my decades-long career to treating the complexity of post-traumatic stress and victims of high-conflict systems. Effective and enduring recovery from abuse, attachment/relational issues, parent and/or children’s residual reactions to adoption, and complex PTSD require equally nuanced treatment. Therefore, I draw from the best that classic talk therapy, cutting-edge neuroscience, experimental canine, and equine-assisted psychotherapy, and compassionate advocacy have to offer. Additionally, I am the co-creator and Clinical Director of the Think Boxing program.

Whether you are an advocate, philanthropist, or patient, I take a direct, compassionate, and fully invested approach to helping you understand how you got where you are AND how to evolve into a healthier version of yourself. In my experience, regaining self-empowerment after trauma requires knowledge, creativity, and compassion, NOT Perfection.
